General info
Name; Galespring Age; 26 moons Gender; She-cat Residence; Windclan Orientation; Pansexual Appearance; Galespring is a raven-black cat, with a completely solid-colored coat that is more often than not found to be quite sleek and shiny in the sunlight, her fur being at an average length and not exactly getting tangled too often, though there are times where they need a good grooming in order to look presentable to others, being a wild cat after all. Galespring's eyes are a shining yellow-green mixture that can almost seem like stars in the night sky the way they stand out on their pelt, being the one spot of light there is in a black hole of fur. This warrior's body type is one which is built well for holding her own on the side of defense, not exactly being the fastest or the slowest but rather average in measurement of speed. They're great in situations which require endurance, but offense isn't their strong suit in most cases. Personality; This molly isn't exactly the nicest one you'll ever meet, but Galespring probably cares more about you than you think. They are a little bit reserves when it comes to others who aren't inherently close to them, and can seem like the "responsible" type, often having to make sure any of their friends and family don't have to get into any sort of trouble and prevent them from making any rash desicions. They're constantly worried about everyone else around them and try and force herself to be brave for her clan's sake, even if they really don't want to end up having to do something. This idea of the need to be brave is one of the most important things for Galespring, and they often overwork themselves with responsibilities, overwhelming their head and needing to rest from everything. Even if they seem to be distant, this apprentice really does care about those around them, and only works this hard to make everyone proud of them, sometimes not knowing when it's an appropriate time to take a break from their warrior duties. |
Backstory
You were born breaking the code which you would eventually defend with your life.
A couple met on the Shadowclan and Windclan border one last time on the night you were born, passed from a molly of the pines to a tom of the moors. They had named you Starlingkit, after your dark fur, which looked so much like your mother's. Unfortunately, that was all left of your ties with her- Shallowfall. You were raised in Windclan without a mother, under a father who didn't focus too much on your well-being. You see, he had taken a mate in his own clan around the time he'd left your mother- just a moon or two before you were born. From that litter, there was a molly born named Sagekit- somebody who would soon become her own enemy.
You were lonely. Too distant to get very close to anybody during your kithood, you strayed towards the edge of the den every day, thinking. You would never stop doing it, even through the temper you would develop- dreaming. When they named you Starlingpaw, apprenticing you, a sense of loyalty started to develop in your blood- with no mother and a flighty father in your life, the clan had become your parent. You vowed to die for the warrior code, training to no extent and growing apart from the few cats who cared about your well-being- until you met Galepaw. Oh god, she was gorgeous. You cared so much about her- she was your rock. The two of you hit it off right away, with her kind and humorous personality bringing you away from the void of loneliness you'd shoved yourself into. You became warriors together- Starlingspring and Galeslip.
You spent so much time with her- she was consuming your life, though it seemed as if she had enough love for every cat in the forest to share. Your love, however, seemed like it belonged to one cat, and that was her. You would tell yourself to confess every night, but you were so awkward- you didn't know what to do, and so you shoved the feelings away every day you saw her face. Eventually, you'd been noticing her going out on longer patrols, and becoming less... connected with your clan. It reminded you of your apprentice years- and you were worried. Chasing after her one day, following Galeslip out into the moors, you walked until you could feel the scent of river water in the air- of fish, of Riverclan. You looked for her as long as you could- but what you saw was... heartbreaking.
She was in love with a tom, one from another clan- she could see them brushing muzzles, and twining tails as they smiled. Your face turned to disgust as you turned away- surely, it wasn't for her, right? You loved her. But that tom, he'd stolen her away, the one cat who made you feel happy. You ran back away to camp, not letting your friend spot you as you raced as fast as your legs could carry you. Moons passed of retreating to the corner of your den, repeating tragedy over tragedy again. You couldn't imagine why anybody would want to do this- why they would break the code for something so reckless. It wasn't as if you left Galeslip, but you could never look into her face without seeing regret and heartbreak, and then she was expecting kits. You were the only cat in Windclan besides her who knew about it, of course- who their father was.
At least, that's what you thought.
A moon later, just a while before Galeslip's kits were due, Singenight had taken over Windclan. His rule punished code-breakers with death, and unbeknownst to you, your existence was threatened by that very fact. Your parents, however, were never caught. Galeslip? She was. A patrol found her, they turned her in. She was restrained, taken to a remote location by the leader, his mate, and a cannibal- one who'd been allied with their clan since the new leader took over- and murdered. Her body was found a day later, and you were stuck in tears. Thoughts that you could have broken them apart before this happened, that you could've helped her- but now your best friend and her unborn kits were dead. You were a monster, you couldn't stop this.
Eventually, you tore away from the clan for a third time. It would only be a matter of time until a second- and third- meeting which would change your life, but for now you were stuck in ruins. Eventually, you had the courage to ask for a name change once Singenight had been dethroned. Now, you were Galespring. It wasn't to push away the memory of your best friend, but rather to immortalize it. You could never forget her. In the midst of your depression, however, you met a tom named Blazingstorm. He was a light in the middle of all your darkness, a kind cat who brightened up your day with jokes and snowball fights, somebody who made you feel so much better than you used to. You felt safe, for the first time since you'd met Galeslip. You two goofed off together, talking and smiling- and when he became deputy, you cheered him on. You continued to defend him as you were faced with a fight- a warrior named Winterwisp had been picking on a kit named Ferretkit, and you and Blazingstorm protected her.
In that, you made another friend, and you life was, finally, veering onto the right tracks- until Sagewhisker accused your best friend of being the father of her own kits- the molly who was her own half-sister, somebody who she never knew about until now.
